Northern Mindanao Regional Forum on Food Negotiated Procurement – Community Participation (NPCP)

The Alliance of Cooperatives Against Hunger and Poverty (ACAHP), in partnership with the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) and DSWD Region 10, convened a landmark regional forum on February 26–27, 2025 at the Chali Resort & Conference Center in Cagayan de Oro. The two-day event brought together 127 participants from across Northern Mindanao in a shared commitment to advancing participatory, sustainable, and inclusive public food procurement.

The forum drew a broad coalition of EPAHP partners, including DSWD, DepEd, DTI, DOST, NDA, PCC, CDA, PCA, ACPC, DA, and BJMP, alongside cooperatives, federations, and local government units—reflecting the whole-of-government spirit that defines the EPAHP framework. Their collective presence underscored the growing momentum behind community-based approaches to food systems governance in the region.

The gathering was made possible through the generous support of the EU-funded MinPAD/SPADe Project, with invaluable contributions from CSA and DSWD staff who helped bring the event to life.
